Grace & Anil in Piedmont, CA
Grace and Anil's intimate fall wedding surged with vibrant red and gold accents.

Location: Piedmont Community Hall, Piedmont
Grace wore a white satin halter dress and gold Indian jewelry for the small outdoor ceremony that included both Christian and Hindu elements. Halfway through the reception, she spiced things up and changed into bright red and gold traditional Indian wedding garb for a second, symbolic Hindu service. Clients from the boutique that created Grace‘s custom-designed dress include Heather Locklear and the royal family of Saudi Arabia.
The three attendants wore red Nicole Miller dresses.
Stunning yet traditional, red and gold ruled the reception too. Sheer gold overlays highlighted the color-exploding centerpieces of red roses, red dahlias, and orange marigolds.
Several shades of stephanotis, red roses, and strands of freesia and white orchids blended in Grace‘s bouquet.
The chocolate and white cake was delicately covered in a red fondant with an intricate gold-piped Indian pattern that Grace, an art lover, had selected.
Even the custom-rich wish tree, set up in a side room, continued the color show and beckoned guests to write encouraging thoughts. "I wish that all of the good feelings started by the wedding will spread to all the guests, all the communities they live in, and change the whole world for the better," stated one wish tree card. At the very least, Grace and Anil linked the globe for one day.
Grace Loh and Anil Prasad brought the definition of Asian fusion to new levels at their wedding. "We wanted our celebration to reflect our diverse cultural backgrounds," Grace, who is Taiwanese, says.

Many of Grace and Anil's wedding-day accents were specific to one culture (the Chinese dragon-and-phoenix invitation design, the vibrant orange Indian marigolds). But the celebration was predominantly a hodgepodge of inspiration -- a true pop of cultures.
